Batesville, AR - Lyon College softball Head Coach
Taylor Kuhn has announced that Caley Perry will join her staff as the new assistant coach.
"Coach Perry brings coaching experience, a deep passion for the game, and a commitment to developing players both on and off the field," said Kuhn. "Her energy, knowledge, and leadership will be tremendous assets to our program. I'm very excited to have her join the Scots family".
Perry comes to Lyon College after serving for two years as a volunteer coach for the Searcy High School Lion's softball program. She has also been an instructor for over ten years helping to develop young athletes, improving their skills and knowledge for the game of softball. Her passion and mind for the sport extends back to her days at Central Baptist College where she was a four-year member of the Lady Mustangs Softball Team. As a catcher she learned that being a leader is about earning players respect, being adaptable, and providing a strong anchor for others to follow. That leadership mindset was developed alongside strong communications skills, which she feels are part of being a successful coach.
"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to help shape the future of the game I love and to work alongside Coach Kuhn as we guide these incredible young women both on and off the field," said Perry. "Blessed is truly the best way to describe how I feel to be part of the Scots family."
Perry graduated with a Bachelor's of Science and a Minor in Recreational Leadership from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas.
