BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College Softball team travels to Missouri to take on Hannibal-LaGrange University on Friday and Missouri Baptist University on Saturday. The first pitch of each day is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The Matchup
Hannibal-LaGrange University: The Hannibal-LaGrange University Trojans are 5-10 on the season, 1-1 in AMC play. The Trojans are led offensively by Sydney Newell and Samantha Zielinski. Newell paces Hannibal-LaGrange University with a .368 batting average and has a team-best eight RBI's, while Zielinski is hitting .354 with five runs scored on the year. The Trojans are led in the circle by Sicily Johnston. Johnston is currently 3-5 with a 2.98 earned run average and a team-best 14 strikeouts on the season.  

Missouri Baptist University: The Missouri Baptist University Spartans are 3-5 on the season. The Spartans are led offensively by Kaitlyn Chadwick and Jordan Corby. Chadwick paces MBU with a .458 batting average and has recorded five RBI's, while Corby is hitting .389 with four runs scored on the year. The Spartans are led in the circle by Shelby Sievers. Sievers is currently 1-1 with a 2.89 earned run average and a team-best 17 strikeouts on the season.  

Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are currently 3-19 on the year, 0-4 in AMC play. The Scots are led offensively by Kassidy Robinson, Cheyenne Herrera, and Faith Cornmesser. Robinson paces Lyon with a .338 batting average to go along with a team-high 22 hits and has swiped a team-best 13 bags on the season. Herrera posts a .282 batting average with eight runs scored, while Cornmesser is hitting .259 with four RBI's on the year. The Scots are led in the circle by Katelyn Platt. Platt is currently 2-6, including a complete-game victory, and has converted a save on the year. 

Series History: Lyon is 8-6 all-time against Hannibal-LaGrange University, with their most recent meeting being in 2019 as the Scots defeated the Trojans by a score of 4-3. 

Lyon is 10-7 all-time against Missouri Baptist University, with their most recent meeting being in 2019 as the Scots defeated the Spartans by a score of 5-4.
