BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College Softball team travels to Conway to take on No. 14 Central Baptist College on Tuesday. The first pitch of the conference doubleheader is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.

The Matchup
No. 14 Central Baptist College: The No. 14 Central Baptist College Mustangs are 14-6 on the season, 2-0 in AMC play. The Mustangs are led offensively by Alyssa Estrada and Baleigh Jackson. Estrada paces Central Baptist with a .434 batting average and has 18 runs scored, while Jackson is hitting .403 with 14 RBI's on the year. The Mustangs are led in the circle by Hannah Work. Work is currently 8-2 with a 3.54 earned run average and 27 strikeouts on the season.  

Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are currently 3-17 on the year, 0-2 in AMC play. The Scots are led offensively by Kassidy Robinson, Cheyenne Herrera, and Faith Cornmesser. Robinson paces Lyon with a .316 batting average to go along with a team-high 18 hits and has swiped a team-best 12 bags on the season. Herrera posts a .278 batting average with eight runs scored, while Cornmesser is hitting .269 with four RBI's on the year. The Scots are led in the circle by Katelyn Platt. Platt is currently 2-5, including a complete-game victory, and has converted a save on the year. 

Series History: Lyon is 10-16 all-time against Central Baptist College, with their most recent meeting being in 2019 as the Scots defeated the Mustangs by a score of 8-7.
