BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College softball team takes on No. 24 Central Baptist College on Saturday in a road conference doubleheader with the first game starting at 10:00 a.m.

Lyon College is 26-9 overall, 13-5 in the AMC. Central Baptist College is 17-6 on the year, 9-3 in the AMC.

The Matchup
Central Baptist University: The Central Baptist University Mustangs post a 26-11 record on the year, including a 17-1 mark in the AMC. The Mustangs are led offensively by Katlyn Gordon and Baleigh Jackson. Gordon paces the Mustangs with a .400 batting average and a team-best 48 hits, including 12 doubles, two triples, and six home runs. In addition, Gordon has totaled a team-high 43 RBI's, 37 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. Jackson is currently hitting .400 with a team-best seven home runs and 35 RBI's on the season. The Mustangs are led in the circle by Kym House. House, who is 8-6 on the season, posts a 3.27 earned run average over 102.2 innings and has recorded a team-high 44 strikeouts.  
 
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are 26-9 on the season, including a 13-5 record in AMC play. The Scots are led offensively by Faith Cornmesser, Cheyenne Black, Megan Micke, and Addison Harmon. Faith Cornmesser has a team-best .411 batting average, to go along with 30 runs scored and 15 RBI's. In addition, Cornmesser sports a 7-2 record in the circle with a 2.61 earned run average, while totaling 37 strikeouts. Cheyenne Black posts a .386 batting average with a team-high 31 RBI's. Megan Micke is currently hitting .375 with a team-high five home runs and 28 stolen bags, while Addison Harmon posts a .373 batting average on the year, totaling 26 RBI's and 20 stolen bases. In the circle, Katelyn Platt is 14-5 on the season with a 1.70 earned run average. The sophomore has thrown 127.2 innings and allowed just 31 earned runs, while striking out a team-best 87 batters. 
 
Series History: Lyon is 8-16 all-time against Central Baptist University, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Mustangs defeated the Scots by a score of 4-0.
