BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College softball team concludes regular season play with two conference doubleheaders against Hannibal-LaGrange University on Friday and Columbia College on Saturday. The first game on Friday will begin at 2:00 p.m., while the first pitch for Saturday is set for 12:00 p.m.

Lyon College is 29-10 overall, 15-5 in the AMC. Hannibal-LaGrange University sits at 20-18 overall, 10-10 in the AMC, while Columbia College is 27-9 overall, 18-2 in the AMC.

The Matchup
Hannibal-LaGrange University: The Hannibal-LaGrange University Trojans post a 20-18 record on the year, including a 10-10 mark in conference play. HLG is led offensively by Kendra Jacob and Jordyn Alford. Jacob paces the Trojans with a .365 batting average, 16 runs scored, and 20 RBI's on the year. Alford is currently hitting .356 with 42 hits, including a team-best 13 doubles, a triple, three home runs, and has tallied a team-high 35 RBI's. In addition, Alford posts an 8-9 record in the circle with a 2.82 earned run average, while striking out 65 batters in 119.1 innings pitched. The Trojans will also lean on Sicily Johnston in the circle. Johnston is 11-9 on the season and currently posts a 3.05 earned run average over 126 innings, while recording a team-best 66 strikeouts.  

Columbia College: The Columbia Cougars post a 27-9 record on the year, including an 18-2 mark in the AMC. Columbia is led offensively by Molly Carter and Mackenzie Kasarda. Carter paces the Cougars with a .442 batting average and 50 hits, including seven doubles, six triples, and eight home runs. In addition, Carter has totaled a team-high 37 RBI's and 42 runs scored. Kasarda is currently hitting .421 with a team-best 13 doubles and 35 RBI's on the season. The Cougars are led in the circle by Lexi Dickerson. Dickerson, who is 14-3 on the season, posts a 2.37 earned run average over 100.1 innings and has recorded a team-high 81 strikeouts.  
 
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are 29-10 on the season, including a 15-5 record in AMC play. The Scots are led offensively by Faith Cornmesser, Addison Harmon, Cheyenne Black, and Megan Micke. Faith Cornmesser sports a .374 batting average, to go along with 31 runs scored and 15 RBI's. In addition, Cornmesser sports a 7-2 record in the circle with a 2.61 earned run average, while totaling 37 strikeouts. Addison Harmon posts a .374 batting average on the year, totaling 29 RBI's and 22 stolen bases. Cheyenne Black is currently hitting .362 with a team-high 32 RBI's, while Megan Micke posts a .355 batting average with a team-high six home runs and an AMC-best 32 stolen bags. In the circle, Katelyn Platt is 17-5 on the season with a 1.97 earned run average. The sophomore has thrown 145.2 innings and allowed just 41 earned runs, while striking out a team-best 93 batters. 
 
Series History: Lyon is 8-6 all-time against Hannibal-LaGrange University, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Scots defeated the Trojans by a score of 5-4.

Lyon is 2-13 all-time against Columbia College, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Cougars defeated the Scots by a score of 5-3.
