Batesville, AR - The 43rd annual Mark Martin Automotive/Lyon College High School Invitational concludes today, December 13th. Eleven basketball teams from the area will compete for the championship in Becknell Gymnasium on the campus of Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. 
 
This event is a pillar of the local sports calendar allowing young players to show their skill and compete for top honors. Mark Martin Automotive and Lyon College are proud to provide this opportunity to young athletes in our area. 
 
The Tournament will run from Monday, December 8th, through the championship games on Saturday, December 13th. Tickets are $5 for ages 12 and up, Lyon College students get free admission upon presentation of student ID, and Kids 11 and under get in free. 
 
Tonight both the boys and girls championships will be played, as well as two consolation games for boys and girls. Our final day of action will get started with the girls consolation game as the Southside Lady Southerners take on the Nettleton Lady Raiders at 3:00 PM. Later the Greers Ferry Westside Lady Eagles will face off with the Mountain View Yellow Jackets in the girls championships at 4:20 PM. For our boys games, the Southside Southerners will square up with the Cedar Ridge Timberswolves in the consolation game at 5:40 PM. Finally, the Thayer Bobcats will play the Mountain View Yellow Jackets in the boys championship at 7:00 PM. 
 
As teams finalize their game plans and fans prepare their cheers, the stage is set for another memorable installment of the Mark Martin Automotive/Lyon College High School Invitational Tournament. The community is invited to come out and support these dedicated student-athletes as they battle it out on the hardwood.
