POTEAU, Oklahoma -- Lyon College men's and women's wrestling competed at their season opener meets at the Carl Albert State College Viking Open.

Both the men's and women's teams competed against a vast array of opponents from NJCAA all the way up to NCAA Division I programs. 

The Scots men's team began their competition on Saturday, November 9 during an action-packed day in Lyon Athletics. 
Ty Ferguson had a great showing, finishing the day 3-2 and with 21 total match points. Liam Selhorst finished 1-2 with 23 total match points, Eli Lupton finished 1-2 with six total match points, Clay Queen Jr. finished 1-2 with four total match points, and Shmuel "Sam" Tabak finished 0-2 with five total match points.

The Scots women's team began their competition on Sunday, November 10 in Poteau.
Rubi Gonzalez was the lone competitor for the women at the meet, finishing 0-2 on the day with three total match points.
