BOSSIER CITY, Louisiana - The Lyon College men's wrestling team was well represented at the competitions in the NCWA Nationals on Thursday and Friday under the direction of first year head coach Chris Wilmington.

To recap the events:
In the 125 pound classification, Ty Ferguson defeated R. Rashid by fall (1:50) in the Championship Round of 64. 
Ferguson was defeated by W. Hicks in the Championship Round of 32, which put Ferguson in the Consolation Round of 16. 
In the consolation round, Ferguson defeated A. Nguyen by fall (1:42) and defeated by J. Jimenez 15-6 (MD). 

In the 133 pound classification, Shmuel "Sam" Tabak defeated M. Slass 20-11(MD) in the Championship Round of 64. 
In the Championship Round of 32 C. Amestad defeated Tabak by fall (:53). That relegated Tabak to the Consolation Round of 16 where he was defeated by W. Carpenter by fall (4.22).

In the 149 pound classification, Clay Queen, Jr. defeated J. Dean by fall (2:02) in the Championship Round of 64. Queen advanced to the Championship Round of 32 and was defeated by decision by C. Crump 11-4.
In the Consolation Round of 32, Queen defeated S. Conway by forfeit, which moved him to the Consolation Round of 16 where he defeated A. Deeney by fall (1:31). In the second session of Round 16, N. Monteparte defeated Queen 22-4 by technical fall.

In the 184 pound classification Championship Round of 64, Liam Selhorst was not able to wrestle due to not being medically cleared. He had to forfeit the Championship Round and his Consolation Round matches.

In the 197 pound classification, Eli Lupton defeated G. Mullinax by fall (:45) in the Championship Round of 64. 
Lupton was defeated by I. Hernandez in the Championship Round of 32, 19-3 by technical fall.
In the Consolation Round of 32, Lupton defeated J. Rayam by fall (4:03) and defeated C. Block by fall (1:57). 
In the Consolation Round of 16, Lupton was defeated by J. Shea by fall (:15).

In the 285 pound classification, Robert Lee was defeated by D. Kolenovic by fall (5:23) in the Championship Round of 64. 
In the Consolation Round of 32, Lee defeated S. Green by fall (3:49), but J. Hermann defeated Lee in the second session of Round 32 by fall (1:48).
