BATESVILLE – Lyon College Athletics is proud to welcome back Hailey Ford, who has been named the Scots’ Women’s Basketball assistant coach.
Born and raised in Batesville, Ford received all-conference and all-state honors as basketball player at Batesville High School. After high school, attended and played basketball at Lyon College for four years 2013-2017.
During her junior year, the Scots won its first regular season and conference tournament championships in the same season, had the most record wins in a season, and has best record in school history.
Ford earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History, then went on to earn a Master of Arts in teaching from Southern Arkansas University in 2020.
After graduating from SAU, Ford came back to Batesville and worked at Midland Elementary School in Floral, Arkansas as a physical education teacher & elementary boys and girls basketball coach for two years.
During the off-season, Ford manages her family store, Ultimate Scrubs & More, in Batesville. She returns to Lyon College with her husband Austin.
