Batesville High School product Ryan Morrow (’06) was named as the Scots’ Offensive Line Coach in July 2014 as Lyon College prepared to begin work for the first season of football at Lyon since 1951. He took on the added duties as strength coach in 2015.
Morrow, and former Scots head coach Kirk Kelley formed a personal relationship a number of years ago, as far back as the early 1990s when Kelley built the Lyon baseball program from the ground up. A three-sport athlete at Batesville, Morrow played football, basketball, and baseball, starting his gridiron playing career in the third grade.
Morrow's recruiting territory for the Scots’ football team includes Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and west and northwest Texas.
Before coming to Lyon, Morrow spent the last two years teaching and coaching offensive linemen and tight ends in the Cedar Ridge School District in Newark, Arkansas.
Morrow played three-plus seasons of football for NCAA Division II Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, graduating from HSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health in December 2013.
Ryan and his wife, Candace, have a baby girl named Ruby Rae.
