Batesville, AR - Your Lyon College fighting Scots women's soccer team has been ranked 6th in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. 

Lyon received 31 points to earn the 6th place spot. Blackburn College took the 7th place spot receiving 19 points, while the Mississippi University for Women earned the 8th place spot with 17 points. In last place with 11 points was Eurkea College. 

Last year's conference champions Spalding earned the first place spot received 60 points and six first-place votes. Greenville, last years runners-up in the conference finals took the 2nd place spot with 56 points and two-first place votes. Webster took the 3rd place spot with 52 points and one first-place vote, while Westminster earned the 4th place spot with 44 points. Rounding out the list is Principia taking 5th place with 34 points. 

The 2026 season begins Wednesday, September 2nd at 5:00 PM with your Scots taking on the Williams Baptist College Eagles in Walnut Ridge, AR.
