Alton, IL – The Lyon College Scots grab a dominant win and conference series sweep of the Blackburn College Beavers. After a single-handed series, the Scots score an impressive total of 47 runs and smashing 39 hits. After the sweep, Scots are now 27-10.

The Scots secured a commanding 20-8 victory with the Scots tallying 20 hits and 21 RBIs, including two home runs. Lyon started strong in the first inning, with
Kooper McCoy's single driving in
Ashton Compton and
Braden Bramlett for a 2-0 lead. In the second inning, Lyon's offense exploded for 10 runs, highlighted by
Eli Marcotte's three-run homer and
Tyler Hahn's double. Marcotte later doubled to plate two additional runs, extending the Scots' lead to 12-0. Lyon added another run in the third inning, making it 13-2, while Blackburn responded with two runs. Blackburn added a run in the fourth, but Lyon's lead was 13-3. In the fifth inning, Compton's RBI single increased Lyon's led to 14-6, though Blackburn closed the inning with three runs. The Scots responded in the sixth with a five-run rally, highlighted by Swallow's three-run homer. Lyon tallied one more in the seventh with
Jarius Edwards' RBI single.
Brody Bailey pitched 4 innings, allowing 4 earned runs, while
Jonah Wilkerson followed with 3 innings, giving up 2 earned runs. Marcotte drove in six runs, Compton contributed four hits, and McCoy added three hits.
