Eureka, IL – Scots keep their streak going as they topple the Eureka Red Devils in conference play. Scots record two heavy hitting games and put a total of 26 runs on the scoreboard. Scots are now 14-5 on the season.
Game 1
Lyon College 13, Eureka College 3
Scots roll the Red Devils 13-3 on the road. After falling behind early, the Scots' bats ignited in the fourth inning, led by
Jarius Edwards, who drove in two runs with a single and eventually finished the day with three RBIs and two stolen bases. The fifth inning proved decisive as Lyon plated five runs;
Braden Bramlett and
Tyler Hahn each delivered RBI hits before
Landon Swallow cleared the bases with a two-run single. Hahn and
Eli Marcotte were constant threats, combining for four hits and four runs scored to keep pressure on the Red Devils' defense. On the mound,
Joe Galay earned his second win of the year with a gritty six-inning performance, racking up six strikeouts while allowing only one earned run.

Scots go back-to-back on the day taking a commanding 13-4 victory over the Red Devils. The Scots established an early lead in the first inning when
Braden Bramlett drove in
Eli Marcotte with an RBI single, followed by
Ashton Compton stealing home on a throwing error. Lyon's scoring remained consistent throughout the contest, highlighted by
Kooper McCoy's exceptional performance; he finished 4-for-5 with a towering solo home run in the eighth and three total RBIs.
Eli Marcotte also played a pivotal role, driving in three runs, including a two-RBI single that helped break the game open late. The Scots' aggressive baserunning put constant pressure on Eureka, as the team combined for ten stolen bases, led by two each from Compton and
Slade Inman. On the mound,
Jackson Smith earned the win with a dominant seven-inning start, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out four. Lyon's explosive five-run ninth inning, punctuated by another RBI from Bramlett, ultimately sealed the definitive road win.
