Batesville, AR - Lyon Scots baseball has been voted to finish fourth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference pre-season poll.
Lyon received 41 points to finish fourth ahead of Westminster (38), Greenville (30), Eureka (24), Blackburn (12), and Principia (11).
Webster finished 1st, receiving 64 points and eight first-place votes. Spalding placed 2nd with 55 points and one first-place vote, while the Mississippi University for Women received 49 points to make 3rd place.
Scots look to improve upon a .500 2025 season, as they return an experienced squad and add new members like
Tyler Hahn,
Connor Taylor,
Brody Bailey, and Aiden Linson. Returners
Landon Swallow,
Eli Marcotte,
Kooper McCoy, and
Braden Bramlett were honored last year as SLIAC All-conference players and will make an impact offensively all having above .300 last year. In addition
Ashton Compton,
Slade Inman, and
Walker Smith will give Lyon an experienced lineup.
Fighting Scots Baseball season will open on the road in Brownwood, TX on February 20th and 21st with a series against the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets.
