Searcy, AR – Competing in the Bison Invitational hosted by Harding University, the Lyon College Scots women's cross country team finished 7th overall with two runners in the top 40.
Madison DeRoussel led the Scots with a time of 22:22.98, placing 27th overall. Brooklynn Collins followed shortly after, finishing 36th with a time of 23:04.00.
Alora Huver crossed the line in 55th at 29:03.51, while Novalee Lackey placed 57th in 29:27.04. Jordyn Turner rounded out the top five for Lyon, finishing 60th with a time of 30:39.15.
Brianna Krantz was a late scratch and did not compete in the race.
The Scots will continue their fall campaign looking to build on this effort as they move into the heart of their season.
