Batesville, AR - The 2025 football season is rapidly approaching for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and Lyon College has finished sixth in preseason polling. 

Texas Lutheran sits atop the conference with 33 points and three first-place votes. Close behind in 2nd is McMurry with 32 points and two first-place votes. Placing 3rd is Hendrix with 22 points, followed by Centenary College in 4th with 18 points and one first-place vote. Austin College is ranked 5th with 12 points. 

Senior Keidrick Wooten has been named to the SCAC Players to Watch list. Wooten, a 2024 All-SCAC First Team Selection, led the team in TFLs with 12.5 for 44 yards last season.

Scots will open their season in Marshall, TX, on Saturday, September 6th, when they face East Texas Baptist University.
