PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- Three Lyon College women's basketball players have been named to the USCAA All-American and All-Academic teams.
Junior guardÂ
Natalya Kaza earned was named the USCAA Student Athlete of the Year, USCAA First Team All-American, and USCAA All-Academic. This season, she led the team with 515 points scored and 67 steals. Kaza was also second on the team with 145 total rebounds, while putting up 59 assists and two blocks. Kaza also led the Scots in total minutes with 859, as she started in all 25 games for Lyon College, averaging just over 34 minutes played per game. She also averaged just under 21 points per game while shooting 42% from the field, 37% from beyond the arc, and making just under 80% of her free throws.
Junior forwardÂ
Savanna Lopez earned USCAA First Team All-American honors after a season in which she led the team with 227 rebounds along with 87 blocks. Lopez was also second on the team with 777 minutes played and, along with Kaza, started all 25 games for Lyon College. She also scored 337 total points, while putting up 43 assists and 29 steals. Lopez also shot 49% from the field and made 71% of her free throw attempts.
Sophomore forward
Olivia Jones was also named to the USCAA All-Academic team. Jones appeared in 20 of 25 games for the Scots this season, scoring 36 total points along with 23 rebounds, seven assists, and six steals, all while shooting just under 52% from the field.
