Toney scores 22, McCullough adds 18 to lead Scots past Westminster 102-67

BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College Scots got 22 points and eight assists from Frank Toney and 18 points from Kylon McCullough that led to a 102-67 win over Westminster College on Saturday afternoon at Becknell Gymnasium.

The Scots (12-7 and 9-3) led 60-33 at halftime and outscored Westminster 42-34 in the second half. 
Colbie West added eight points and six rebounds, Malik Madison scored eight points, had six rebounds and three blocked shots, Warren Kennedy scored four points, Luke Bridges put in nine points, John Paul Morgan had five points and five rebounds, Tucker Brody added five points, Tucker Cunningham scored five points, Johnzelle Bush had four points, Trenton Bell added three points, Hudson Rogers scored three points, Jackson Midyett had three points, Gavin Brunson scored three points and Isaiah Sweetwine added two points in the win.

Lyon College had 44 points in the paint, scored 17 points off of turnovers, had 15 second-chance points, scored 22 fast-break points and got 42 points from the bench. The Scots led the entire game and there were two lead changes. 
McCullough scored the first four points of the game and Toney added a three-pointer for a 7-0 Lyon College lead early in the first half. Westminster came back to take a 10-7 lead until West and Toney scored to put the Scots up 11-10 at the 13:57 mark. Toney put in a layup and West scored inside, then Toney made a three-pointer. Bell made a three-pointer and Madison got a dunk off the fast-break. Bush and Cunningham both scored for Lyon College, then Madison scored to make it a 29-21 Lyon College lead with 8:05 left in the first half. Bush made two free throws, Cunningham made a three-pointer and McCullough hit a three-pointer to make it 37-23. Kennedy scored on a layup, McCullough made a three-pointer and Warren scored again. Toney hit a three-pointer, West scored and McCullough made a three-pointer for a 52-31 Scots lead with 2:37 to go in the half. McCullough made two three-pointers and Toney a hit three-pointers, then Bridges closed out the half with a basket.

Madison opened the second half with a dunk for Lyon College, Toney put in a layup, and McCullough hit a layup for a 66-33 lead with 17:38 to go. Toney completed a four-point play to make it 70-33 Scots and Madison ended the Lyon College run with another dunk. West scored on a layup, Morgan made a three-pointer, then Bridges scored two times in a row for the Scots. Bridges added a free throw and hit another layup to make it 84-46 with 10:40 to go in the game. 
Morgan scored in the paint, Brunson hit a three-pointer, Tucker made two free throws, Rogers hit a three-pointer, Sweetwine put in a layup and MIdyett made good on a three-pointer to make it 102-65 with 28 seconds left.
