Scots men's basketball teams stopped 99-94 in overtime by Huntingdon College

BATESVILLE, Arkansas - Frank Toney scored 34 points and Kylon McCullough added 22 points in a 99-94 overtime loss at Becknell Gymnasium against Huntingdon College on Monday afternoon.

The Scots (4-5) fought back from a 20-points down to tie the game at 86-86 on a shot that was dubbed a two-pointer from the three-point line. In overtime, Huntingdon College managed to hit free throws and outscore Lyon College 13-8 for the win.

Along with 34 points, Toney had 10 rebounds and seven assists for a double-double. Malik Madison had 12 points and three blocked shots and Colbie West scored 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Scots trailed at halftime 45-36 and fell behind 70-48 with 12 minutes remaining, but fought back behind two free throws from Frank Toney and who followed that with a three-pointer. Toney put in two straight layups and West added two free throws to complete a 10-0 run by Lyon College. 
West made a three-pointer, Toney made two free throws and put in a layup, then McCullough hit a jumper on the fast-break to make it a 74-67 game with 6:10 to go.
Trent Bell made a three-pointer for the Scots and Toney put in another driving layup and Madison hit a short jumper inside to cut the Huntingdon lead to four points with 3:26 left in regulation.
Seconds later, McCullough added a layup and Madison put in a shot to make it a 2-point game with 1:34 to play. Huntingdon went up 86-81 with 34 seconds left following a McCullough three-pointer, but West knocked down a three-pointer and Toney knocked down a corner shot with two seconds to play to tie the game at 86-86

Free throws for Huntingdon were the difference the game in overtime.

The Scots will be on the road Thursday at Hendrix College.
