BATESVILLE, AR — Lyon College celebrated four distinguished alumni at the 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet on Saturday, November 22. The event, was held in the Patterson Dining Hall in Edwards Commons on the Lyon College campus. Our inductees have demonstrated exceptional achievement in their respective sports and made meaningful contributions to their professions and communities.
Lyon College Director of Athletics Kevin Jenkins stated that the college is proud to recognize these individuals who have excelled in various aspects of their lives, representing the values of dedication, teamwork, and service. The 2025 class includes notable alumni from volleyball, men's basketball, and baseball.
The inductees are:

• Dr. Melissa Hicks '78 (Volleyball): An All-AWISA honorable mention in 1977 and a faculty physician.
• Jonathan Donaldson '08 (Men's Basketball): Ranked in the top 10 for points, assists, and steals, and an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.
• Zachary Wallace '10 (Baseball): Holds college records for on-base percentage and batting average, and a three-time All-Conference selection.
• Jordan Layrock '15 (Men's Basketball): An NAIA All-America Honorable Mention in 2014 and holds records for career and single-season blocks.
