Jenkins, a 1986 graduate of Lyon College, beings his 36th year with the Scots Athletic Department in 2021-22 and his 13th year as the institution's Director of Athletics.
Jenkins was named as the American Midwest Conference Athletic Director of the Year following the 2017-18 school year.
For the 18 years he served as the Lyon men's head basketball coach, stepping down in March of 2013 to take over the full-time role as AD. Jenkins is also a member of the Lyon College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Previously he served as an assistant coach for nine years to former Scots' Head Coach and former Lyon College Athletic Director, Terry Garner. He ranks third on the Lyon All-Time wins list with 210 career victories and was named TranSouth Conference Coach of the Year in 2006.
Jenkins came to Lyon after two years at Three Rivers Community College where he was part of a NJCAA tournament team under Gene Bess.
Jenkins served as the former President of the NABC-NAIA Basketball Coaches Association and holds the secretary position of the American Midwest Conference.
He and his wife Kristie, also a Lyon graduate, have two daughters, Kessie and Kamie.
