Elsah, IL – Strong defensive efforts and balanced play on both sides of the pitch led to a scoreless draw between the Scots and the Principia Panthers. The Scots now hold a 2-8-3 record on the season.
The Scots tallied six shots, with one landing on target.
Katelyn Balderas led the way with two shots, while
Emily Betzold,
Rylie Williams,
Angelica Soto, and
Lilly Barr each contributed one. Williams recorded the Scots' lone shot on goal. In net,
Millie Beller stood tall, making five saves and allowing none to secure the shutout.
The Panthers got things going early in the first half with a shot on target, but Beller came up with the save (1:25). Another attempt from the Panthers followed but sailed high right (7:38). Shortly after, Betzold broke through the defense and fired a shot that went just over the crossbar. Midway through the half, Beller made another impressive stop to keep the score level at zero. Soto added to the Scots' offensive push with a shot of her own, narrowly missing left.
The Scots and Panthers traded possessions throughout the second half, with both sides showing strong effort on offense and defense. The Panthers managed a few looks on goal but couldn't find the back of the net. Shots were limited for the Scots, but Barr and Williams made their presence felt, with Williams recording the lone shot on target. Despite hard work from both teams, the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

th at 3:30 PM and will face Mississippi University for Women.
