BATESVILLE, Arkansas - In a doubleheader against Mississippi University for Women (MUW), Lyon College softball experienced a mix of results, winning Game 1 and losing Game 2.
Lyon College dominated MUW  in a commanding 5-1 victory. Chloe McCance led Lyon's offense with two pivotal doubles in the 3rd and 5th innings, driving in Mary Duffield each time. Olivia Orf further solidified Lyon's lead with a powerful homer in the 5th, securing two more runs. 
Defensively, Lyon committed only one error, limiting MUW's scoring opportunities. On the mound, McKenzie Campbell delivered a stellar performance, pitching a complete game and allowing only one run on three hits while striking out an impressive 11 batters. 
In a tense second battle against MUW, Lyon College faced a 6-4 defeat. Despite late-game efforts from Duffield and McCance, Lyon couldn't overcome MUW's early lead. With Campbell delivering another solid pitching performance, Lyon couldn't close the gap, conceding a hard-fought victory to MUW. 
Duffield highlighted the Scots offense with two triples on the day.
