CLAYTON, Missouri - The Lyon College Scots men's soccer got back on the winning track and defeated the Fontbonne Griffins 6-0 on Saturday night in SLIAC action in Missouri.
The Scots (4-5-2, 2-1) got its first goal from
Ryan Jenkins on an assist by
Joao Barros and
Lucca Torres at the 5:38 mark of the first half.Â
Barros scored at the 27:15 mark for a 2-0 Scots lead.Â
In the second half,
Erik Oliveira scored in the 49th minute,
Tomas Biasi scored in the 68th minute for a 4-0 lead.
Gustavo Giesbrecht scored two goals, one in the 82nd minute and another in the 86th minute to put Lyon College up 6-0.
Lyon had 22 shots at the goal and 13 shots on-goal.
Gabriel Rangel had four saves at goalie and
Francisco Polonia had two saves after coming in to relieve Rangel in the second half.Â
