CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas -- The Lyon College men's cross country team finished in first place and the women's cross country team finished in second place at the Arkansas D3 Cross Country Championships.
There were four top-10 finishers for the first-place men's team in the 8000-meter run, including
James McNew, who finished second overall with a time of 28:14.0.
Gavin Bush finished sixth overall with a time of 30:51.0,
Collin Orvin finished ninth overall with a time of 31:38.0, and
Daniel Thomas finished tenth overall with a time of 31:58.0.
Other finishers for the men's team included
Noah Cordes (32:25.0),
Timothy Brady (32:54.0),
Jakobe Alcorn (33:15.0),
Ethan Byler (33:50.0),
Andrew Hernandez (36:04.0),
Chance Wheeler (37:53.0),
Sean Hall (37:56.0).
There were three top-10 finishers for the second-place women's team in the 5K run, including
Madison DeRoussel, who finished fourth overall with a time 20:20.0.
Alora Huver finished eighth overall with a time of 23:03.0, and
Joanna Wilson finished ninth overall with a time of 23:11.0.
Other finishers for the women's team included
Novalee Lackey with a time of 24:31.0, and
Brianna Kantz with a time of 24:55.0.
