LEMONT FURNACE, Pennsylvania -- Lyon College men's and women's cross country competed at the USCAA National Championships on Sunday morning.
The Scots women's team started up at 9:00 AM CT in the 6K Run. All six runners for the Scots finished the run, with two finishing in the top 25 in a pool of 69 runners. The women finished fourth out of seven teams.
Madison DeRoussel finished 19th overall, the highest finish for the Scots, with a time of 26:59.60.
Olivia Letkey also had a top-25 finish (23rd overall) with a time of 27:26.70.
Joanna Wilson finished 33rd with a time of 29:00:00,
Alora Huver finished 37th with a time of 29:34.80,
Novalee Lackey finished 41st with a time of 30:18.70, and
Brianna Krantz finished 48th with a time of 32:19.40.
The Scots men's team started up at 10:00 AM CT in the 8K Run. The Scots had also had six finishers, with four finishing in the top 50 in a pool of 82 runners. The men finished fifth out of eight teams.
James McNew finished 15th overall, the highest finish for the Scots, with a time of 30:10.60.
Daniel Thomas finished 39th overall with a time of 33:24.40,
Noah Cordes finished 40th with a time of 33:25.10,
Gavin Bush finished 42nd with a time of 33:32.60,
Timothy Brady finished 51st with a time of 34:51.80, and
Collin Orvin finished 66th overall with a time of 36:37.20.
