BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College Scots (1-5, 0-4) dropped a 35-17 decision to Austin College in Saturday afternoon SCAC football action at Pioneer Stadium in Batesville.
It was Austin College's first win of the season (1-5, 1-3).
Austin College led 7-0 after the first quarter, but 
Jesus Romero-Castillo kicked a 29-yard field goal for the Scots to make it 7-3  with 9:46 left in the first quarter.
Austin College scored on a 75-yard run to make it a 14-3 game 30 seconds later.
Lyon College came back with an 18-play, 66-yard drive that ended with a 1-yard touchdown run from 
Jaylin Babers with 50 seconds to go in the first half to make it 14-10.
Austin College started the second half with a 71-yard touchdown run to go up 21-10 in the first 30 seconds of the third quarter. Lyon fought back and got an 11-yard touchdown catch from 
Reginald Brown II from quarterback Grayson Johbnson at the 4:33 mark of the third period to make it a 21-17 game.
Austin College scored with 2:04 left in the third on a 6-yard run to go up 28-17 and added another 71-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to account for the final score.
Individually for the Scots, Johnson was 29-of-42 passing for 228 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Babers ran 22 times for 79 yards and had a touchdown. Brown caught eight passes for 64 yards and had a touchdown. Javarion WIlliams had five catches for 53 yards, Babers had four catches for 50 yards, 
Cedric Allen had six catches for 38 yards and 
Aedan Huntsman had five catches for 18 yards. 
The Scots were led defensively by 
Mason Davis, 
Caleb Clark, Will  Litton, 
Michael Wingo and Rene Dominque with five tackles each.
