FULTON, Missouri - On a rainy day in Fulton, Missouri, the Lyon College Scots dropped a 2-1 decision to the host William Woods Owls. 

The Scots (1-4) got its only goal four minutes and 40 seconds into the first half by Daniel Pasztor off an assist from Martin Esquivel.

Esquivel took another Lyon College shot on goal seven seconds later, but it was saved by William Woods goalie Matt Dworak. Erik Oliveira missed bottom left on a kick and Esquivel took another shot at the 11:36 mark that was saved. 

The Owls scored at 12:23 mark to tie the match 1-1. Then Andrei Galca tried a shot but missed with 18 minutes gone in the first half and then Lyon College was whistled for four consecutive fouls over a period of 10 minutes. Meanwhile, Adryan Ledezma saved three William Woods shots.

The first half ended in a 1-1 tie.

Both teams battled in the midfield until Ledezma saved another Owls shot at the 78:04 mark of the match. Finally, William Woods was able to get a goal in 81:23 into the game to take a 2-1 lead.

Ledezma saved another shot in the final two minutes, but in the second half, Oliveira got close enough for a shot and Jacob Ronaldo took a shot that was just high over the goal for Lyon College.
