MOORE, Oklahoma - It has been a long time coming, but the Lyon College Scots women's soccer team erased any doubts that they can be a competitive and winning team. 
On Saturday afternoon in Moore, Oklahoma, the Scots blasted the hosts 4-1 for their first victory of the season.

The Scots scored their first goal seven minutes in by Jessica Steele on an assist by Aisha Mahmoud.  Steele had three shots in the fist half and one sit apiece for Alexis Whitley and Taylor Hammons.

In the second half, Mahmound got a goal off a header on a corner kick 10 minutes in, with an assist from Hammons. Steele scored again of a corner kick three minutes later and got a hat trick with her third goal coming with seven minutes left in the game on a what head coach Marc Neddo described as "a beautiful through ball" by Ashlyn Winters, who got the assist on Steele's goal. 

Randall scored its only goal in the last minute of the match off a corner kick.

The Scots will be at home on Tuesday afternoon against the Hendrix Warriors.
