MOORE, Oklahoma - The Lyon College Scots baseball team split a double-header with the Randall University Saints on Saturday afternoon in Moore, Oklahoma.
In game one, the Scots (4-7) lost 3-1, but rebounded for a 13-2 win in game two.Â
The Scots scored first in the top of the fifth inning when
Austin Shipman came in on a double by
Bradley McLemore. The Saints put up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on four hits.
In the second game, Lyon College banged out 10 hits and scored 13 times in the win. The Scots started off with six runs in the top of the first, then added one run each in the top of the second and third innings. Lyon added two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings and a single run in the seventh.
Logan Lightner was 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored, McLemore scored a run and walked twice, Jadyen Cull scored a run on one hit and one walk, Jessie McGonigal scored a run, got an RBI on a sacrifice and walked twice,
Austin Shipman scored a run and had one hit,
Derek Underwood was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI on a sacrifice,
Zane Wallace was 1-for-4 with three runs scored off of one hit,
Beau Smith was 1-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and a walk.Â
Lightner and Wallace doubled in the game. Smith had a home run, The Scots were hit by pitches seven times in the game.Â
