CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College Scots softball team split a double-header against the University of the Ozarks Eagles on Sunday afternoon in Clarksville, Arkansas.
The Scots (11-7) lost the first game 6-2, but won the second game 1-0. 
In the first game, 
Savannah Lee doubled to right center to bring in 
Anna Voth for a 1-0 Lyon College lead in the top of the first inning. Ozarks tied the game 1-1 in the bottom half of the first and took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second.
In the top of the third, 
McKenzie Campbell singled through the left side to bring home Voth to make it 3-2, but Ozarks scored two more runs in the bottom of the third to lead by three runs.
Lee and 
Trinity Arrambide both had doubles in the game. The Scots had eight hits in the loss. 
Fallon Lancaster had one, Lee and Campbell had two hits each, 
Alyssa Buentello had a hit and Arrambide had two hits. 
Buentello suffered the loss on the mound for Lyon College, going two innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs. 
Sabrina Lowe came in to pitch for an inning and gave up three earned runs, then Campbell closed out the final three innings.
In the second game, the only run came in the top of the third inning when Lancaster hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring home 
Emily Martinez. 
The Scots totalled seven hits, one from 
Sophie Varela, two from Voth, one each from 
Whitney Mitchell and Buentello and Arrambide had two hits.
Campbell (6-3) picked up the win for the Scots on the mound, going seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs and struck out five of the 24 batters she faced.Â
