BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College Diamond Scots held a 1-0 lead on Texas A&M-Texarkana , but the Eagles score four runs over a two-inning span to take the two-game series 4-1 at Fred Wann Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Scots (5-10) scored one run on seven hits and committed three errors. Lyon College got its run in the bottom of the fourth inning when
Brayden Anderson scored on a passed ball. The Eagles (12-13) scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning and added a run each in the top of the sixth and seventh innings.

Jayden Cull,
Thomas Lingren,
Beau Smith and
Derek Underwood all had hits. Lingren and Smith had two hits each, with both having doubles and Cull had a stolen base.
Jesse McGonigal pitched five innings and allowed one hit and was charged with three earned runs to go with three strikeouts. He was relieved by
Cameron Gordon, who went one inning, Anderson pitched to one batter and allowed a run and Underwood pitched 2.2 innings and had three strikeouts.Â
