COLUMBUS, Mississippi - The Lyon College volleyball Scots swept Mississippi University for Women on Tuesday night 3-0 in SLIAC play in Columbus, Mississippi.
The Scots (9-11, 5-2) won the first set 29-27, won the second set 25-21 and took the third set for the match 25-19.
Kylee Sabella led the Scots with 14 kills,
Keeley Beary had 11 kills, while
Janiya Vanderpool and
Paeton Tucker had eight kills each.
Lauren White had two aces, Sabella had one and
Bethany Williams had oen. Beary had four blocks, while Sabella had two.
Madeline Hopson led Lyon with 20 assists, White had 19 and
Marti Flores had two. Flores led in digs with 16, while Sabella had 13 and Tucker finished with 11.
The Scots host a tri-match on Saturday with Greenville University and Blackburn College beginning at 10 a.m. at Becknell Gymnasium.
