BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College Scots volleyball team rode the momentum of wins in the second and fourth and used that energy to force a fifth set against visiting Bethel, Tennessee, but ultimately lost 3-2 on Tuesday night at Becknell Gymnasium.

Lyon dropped the first set 25-10, but fought back to take a 26-24 win in set two. Bethel took the third set 25-17, but the energy from the Lyon College crowd fueled a 25-20 win for the Scots in set four. In the final deciding set, Lyon jumped out to a small lead, but Bethel rallied to get the final four points and win 15-11.

Individually for Lyon College, Isabella Beasley had six kills, Erin Haigwood had four assists, Paeton Tucker had eight kills, Jayden Hughes had eight kills, Kylee Sabella led all the Scots with 11 kills. Samantha Ferguson finished with seven kills, Natalia Szymanska had two kills.
