SHREVEPORT, La. - The Lyon College Scots baseball team lost a double-header to LSU-Shreveport 7-4 and 12-4 on Tuesday afternoon in Shreveport, La.
LSU-Shreveport (40-3) are ranked in the top five in the NAIA and fell behind in the first inning to Lyon College (29-17) 2-0 when
Alec White singled to left field to bring in
Alan West and
Aaron Hurd.
LSU-Shreveport came back to tie the game 2-2 in the second inning. In the bottom of the third, White singled to left field to score Hurd and in the fourth inning, West singled to left field that scored
Kaden Doan for a 4-2 Lyon College lead.
LSU-Shreveport scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added another run in the fifth inning.Â
The Scots had seven hits in the game, Hurd, West (2), White (2), Lara and Doan.
The Scots trailed 6-0 until White hit a triple to right-center field to score West.
Jayden Cull singled to short right field and White scored to make it 6-2.
In the top of the fifth inning, White reached first on an error that scored
Joe Weatherford and Hurd to make it 6-4.
LSU-Shreveport scored three times in the bottom of the fifth and three times in the bottom of the sixth to take the win.
The Scots will be in American Midwest Conference action this weekend in Fulton, Missouri against William Woods.
