COLUMBIA, Mo. – Four triples and two home runs powered the Lyon College Scots to an 8-1 win over the Columbia College Cougars in American Midwest Conference action in Columbia.
The Scots (17-11) got a home run each from
Alan West and
Aaron Hurd. West also had a triple.
Troy Strack tripled twice and
C.C. Burrup tripled.
In the first inning, West tripled to right field to score Hurd for a 1-0 lead. The Scots scored again in the top of the fifth when Hurd homered and West hit a solo home run for a 3-0lead.
Strack tripled to right center field to score Burrup and
Logan Doody in the top of the sixth to give Lyon College a 5-0 lead.
Strack tripled again in the top of the eighth to right field that brought in
Evan Hylek for a 6-0 Scots lead.
In the top of the ninth, Burrup tripled to left-center to bring in
Alec White and
Kaden Doan for an 8-0 Lyon College lead.
