Ellis gets win in 5-0 shutout of the University of St. Francis, Illinois

HERNDON, TN – The Lyon College Scots defeated the University of St. Francis 5-0 on Friday night in Herndon, Tennessee in the second game of the day.
Joe Weatherford hit a three-run homer to centerfield that scored Aaron Hurd and Troy Strack in the bottom of the third inning. Alec White singled to left field to score Allen West in the fifth inning to put Lyon College up 4-0 and in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hurd doubled to left field to score Strack.
Bodey Ellis picked up the win for the Scots by throwing five innings allowing and allowing four hits in shutout baseball.
The Scots started their second day at Herndon with a game at 11 a.m. on Saturday against St. Francis and a game at 1:30 p.m. against host Freed-Hardeman.
