Baseball team splits games, loses to St. Francis, beats Freed-Hardeman on Saturday
HENDERSON, TN – The Lyon College Scots baseball team lost 6-1 to St. Francis, Illinois in the early game on Saturday at the Freed-Hardeman campus in Henderson, Tenn.
Lyon trailed 6-0 by the fifth inning then picked up a run in the sixth when
Haydn Finley hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score
Aaron Hurd from third base.
Alan West got the loss for the Scots giving up six runs, but only two were earned. He had seven strike outs.

HENDERSON, TN – The Lyon College Scots baseball team trailed 2-0 into the second inning when
Alec White doubled in
Joe Weatherford.
In the fifth, White singled in
Aaron Hurd and Weatherford scored on a wild pitch to put the Scots up 3-2. Freed-Hardeman came back to tie the game 3-3 in the sixth inning, but Weatherford hit a 2-run homer with Kaden Doan on base to give the Scots the win.
Lex Meinderts got the win for the Scots, pitching the full seven innings and striking out 10 batters. He walked two, gave up four hits and three runs.
