BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College Scots men's soccer team fought for 90 minutes with the Central Baptist College Mustangs to a 0-0 tie in an American Midwest Conference match at Huser Field on Tuesday afternoon.

The Scots (2-8-3, 1-1-1) had four on-goal shots out of 11 shots at the net. Andrei Galca had two on-goal shots for Lyon College, while, Jevanni Hinkson and Aidan McGeown each had one. Leonardo Galdino had four shots at the net, while Fortnuato Hernandez, Ronaldo Jacobs and Matias Lopez all had one shot in the match.

Scots goalie Ignacio Suarez had three saves.

After staving off two corner kicks by Central Baptist College, Hinkson and Galdino both had shots on-goal that were saved in the first 16 minutes of the match for the Scots. While Lyon College continued to attack the Mustangs defense, Galca had back-to-back shots on-goal that were saved in the 21st and 22nd minutes of the first half. Four minutes later, Hernandez had a shot miss high. McGeown header nearly went in at the 41:15 mark that was saved and Galdino was able to get a shot that was wide right with 45 seconds left in the first half.

The Scots opened the second half, Lopez had a shot go high two minutes in and Galdino's shot was just high of the net at the 55:34 mark. As the half continued, Jacobs had a shot go wide left. 

Lyon College suffered five yellow cards in the match, with three of them coming in the final 10 minutes.
