BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College Scots volleyball team dropped its first American Midwest Conference match on Saturday afternoon to the William Woods Owls 3-0 at Becknell Gymnasium in Batesville.

The Scots (7-8, 2-1) lost 25-20, 25-20 and 25-17 to the Owls. 

Paeton Tucker led the Scots with 11 kills, Kylee Sabella had 10 kills and Isabella Beasley had seven. Jayden Hughes and Natalia Szymanska had two kills each and Samantha Ferguson had one kill.  Madeline Hopson led Lyon College with 13 assists and Layla Wilson had 11 assists. Erin Haigwood led in digs with 17, Sabella had 12 digs, Tucker had 10 and Szymanska finished with five digs. 

Sabella, Szymanska, Wilson and Haigwood all had one ace serve for the Scots in the loss.
