Grant Patterson scored 24 points,
Eric Koludrovic scored 17 points and
Trenton Bell added 12 in the Scots 69-60 win over the visiting Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans on Saturday afternoon at Becknell Gymnasium.
Koldurovic also had 10 rebounds for a double-double, while the AMC leading rebounder
John Paul Morgan hauled in nine rebounds and six assists.
Ben Keton added seven points and
Devan Halford came off the bench to hit a three-pointer.
Joe McBride led Hannibal-LaGrange with 22 points, while Bryce Stark added 12 points.
John Paul Morgan scored inside to get the Scots on the scoreboard first. Koludrovic hit a jumper after making a steal for a 4-0 lead. Koludrovic put in another jumper and Morgan scored inside again to make it a 10-2 Lyon lead.
Patterson made a jumper and hit a three-pointer, then Bell added two free throws before Patterson made two from the line and a 19-15 lead for the Scots. On the next possession for Lyon, Patterson made another three-pointer and Keton sank two free throws to for a 24-18 Scots lead. Koludrovic made a jump shot and hit a three-pointer for Lyon to make it a 13-point lead. Patterson made two free throws, Halford came in to hit a three-pointer and Keton made a trey for a 40-28 lead.
Koludrovic made the third three-pointer in a row for the Scots and Bell put in a jumper from the top of the lane. Lyon out led 43-30 at the half with Koludrovic getting 13 points in the first stanza. Patterson had 14 first half points and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
In the second half, Koludrovic made another jumper after Hannibal-LaGrange had climbed back to within seven points, 47-40. Bell scored on a layup and made a free throw. Patterson hit a jumper. Koludrovic scored, then Bell made two layups in a row and added a free throw for a 54-42 Lyon lead.
Patterson made a three-pointer, Bell hit a jumper and Keton made a free throw  for a 60-52 lead with 4:29 left to play to keep the Scots ahead as the Trojans were making a run to get back in the game.
Patterson finished the game making 6-of-12 field goals, hitting 3-of-5 three-pointers and knocking down 9-of-11 free throws. Koludrovic made 6-of-10 shots and hit two three-pointers and made three-of-four from the line. Bell made four field goals and was 4-of-5 from the free throw line.
As a team, the Scots shot 41 percent from the field and 74 percent from the free throw line. Lyon made 7-of-20 three-point shots and was 20-of-27 from the free throw line. The Scots made 21-of-51 field goals in the win.
Hannibal-LaGrange shot 38 percent for the game, made 6-of-28 three-pointers for 21 percent and were 8-of-9 from the free throw line.
The win improves the Scots to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in the American Midwest Conference. Hannibal-LaGrange drops to 2-13 and 0-4.
