Lyon's
Marleigh Dodson scored a season-high 20 points in a 72-40 Scots' American Midwest Conference win over the visiting Harris-Stowe Hornets on Thursday night at Becknell Gymnasium.
Dodson made 7-of-10 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws to go with five rebounds and two assists to lead Lyon.
Allison Byars came off the Scots bench to contributed 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field. She was 3-of-3 on three-pointers and made 6-of-6 free throws.

Katie Turner put in 14 points on 5-of-7 field goals and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Turner had five rebounds and two steals.
Jade Giron added 12 points, six rebounds and dished out a game-high eight assists.
The Scots shot 47.8 percent from the field and made 50 percent of their three-point shots to go with 88 percent shooting on free throws.
Lyon improved to 15-4 overall and 7-1 in the AMC. The Scots led the Hornets 15-6 after the first quarter and commanded a 34-18 halftime lead. Lyon outscored Harris-Stowe 38-22 in the second half.
The Hornets took a 2-0 lead for their only advantage of the night. Giron put in a layup to tie the game and added a free throw a minute later to for the lead. Dodson started off her night with a three-pointer and completed a traditional three-point play. Later in the quarter, Giron put in another layup and Turner scored inside. Giron grabbed a rebound off a missed Hornets shot and drove the length of the court in time to put in a layup for a nine-point Lyon lead.
Byars made consecutive three-pointers to open the second quarter for the Scots. After a few minutes,
Paige Tate hit a jumper inside and Dodson scored on a pull up jumper for a 25-16 lead at the 3:58 left in the half.
Mari-Hanna Newsom made a three-pointer and Dodson put in a layup and made two jumpers before the end of the half to put Lyon up by 16 points.
Turner made a turnaround in the lane and
Kristen Baham hit a baseline three-pointer. Turner put in two more baskets on the inside for a 43-20 Lyon lead. Â During the third quarter, the Harris-Stowe bench received a double-technical foul and Dodson snake four free throws in a row to put the Scots up by 25 points.
Haley Wesley made a three-pointer from the top of the key and Giron added a free throw in the final minute of the quarter for a 53-29 Scots lead.
Dodson, Turner, Giron and Byars all scored for Lyon in the five minutes of the fourth quarter. Turner and Byars were perfect from the free throw line and Byars took it one step further and hit her third three-pointer in as many attempts to put the Scots up 72-38.
Harris-Stowe falls to 4-9 overall and 2-6 in the AMC.
