BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Scots used one first-half goal and a pair of second-half goals to defeat Central Baptist College by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

GAME FLOW
The match remained scoreless until the 20th minute as Leo Galdino played a ball ahead to Marcos Fernandez. Fernandez deflected a shot off the CBC keeper, but was the first to the rebound and slid a shot into the back of the net, giving Lyon a 1-0 lead. Central Baptist College, though, would answer back on a penalty-kick goal in the 33rd minute by Nyasha Dube. The matched remained tied as the halftime whistle sounded.

Each side generated chances in the second half, but it was the Scots who struck first. In the 78th minute, Marcos Fernandez slid a pass to Raimundo Cabello. Cabello, then, struck a shot past the keeper and into the back of the net, giving Lyon a 2-1 lead. The Scots would keep up the offensive attacking as Cabello scored his second goal of the match just 12 seconds later. Cabello's two goals gave Lyon a 3-1 lead with just over 12 minutes to play.
