BATESVILLE, Ark. – The 14th-ranked Lyon College baseball team will play at Fred Wann Field for the first time this season when the Scots host a four-game series against Champion Christian this Friday and Saturday. Both days will consist of a doubleheader beginning at noon.

Spectators for Lyon College Athletic home events will be limited to Lyon College faculty, staff and students (must show Lyon ID), as well as two family members (including children) for Lyon College student-athletes competing at the event (must present card to enter). Gates open 30 minutes prior to the start of each contest. Masks must be worn at all times and temperature checks upon entrance.

THE MATCHUP
Alan West and Joe Weatherford enter the weekend leading the Scots with five hits each on the season. Of West's five hits, three have gone for extra bases as he has hit a pair of doubles and one home run. Haydn Finley leads the Scots with four RBI this season, while West, Jake Michener and Tristan Buschow are tied for the team lead with two runs scored each.
West leads the pitching staff with a team-high 18 strikeouts over 11 innings pitched this season. Lex Meinderts is second on the team with 14 strikeouts over 9.0 innings pitched. West is 1-1 on the season with one complete game. Meinderts has also thrown a complete game this season.

Following this weekend's series against Champion Christian, the Scots will play a three-game series at Loyola University-New Orleans on Mar. 12-13.
