GAME FLOW
The Owls got on the scoreboard first with a penalty-kick goal by Abby Prather-Turner in the 18th minute of the match. Just six minutes later, Brianna Morrow took the throw in and delivered a long pass to a cutting Cindy Gonzalez. Gonzalez, then, crossed the ball into the box and Helmert got on the end of it sending a shot into the back of the net and doubling William Woods University's advantage. In the 39th minute, Sydney Balducci collected a rebound and struck a left-footed shot into the back of the net, giving the Owls a 3-0 lead as the halftime whistle sounded.

The Scots continued to create chances in the second half. Hailey Gonzales got past the defense of the Owls and dribbled around the WWU goalie. Gonzales, though, was tripped up by the WWU goalie, earning a penalty kick for the Scots. Gonzales calmly delivered the shot into the back of the net, cutting WWU's lead to just two. The Scots continued to push forward in hopes of a comeback, but were unsuccessful and fell to William Woods University by a score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon.
