CONWAY, Ark. – The Lyon College softball team went toe-to-toe with No. 2 University of Science and Arts tonight. The Scots battled, but came up short as USAO earned the victory, 2-0.
Lyon falls to 3-15 overall, 0-2 in the AMC, while No. 2 USAO improves to 18-2.

USAO got on the scoreboard first on a Savanah Ashford 2-out solo home run in the top of the first inning.
The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Drovers until the top of the seventh inning. USAO's Jolie Romine led the frame off with a solo home run over the left field fence, doubling USAO's advantage.

Kassidy Robinson single brought the tying run up to the plate. However, the Scots were unable to string any more hits together and fell to No. 2 USAO by a score of 2-0.
McKenzie Campbell went the distance in the circle as she struck out two, while limiting the Drovers to just two runs over seven innings.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
The Scots continue play in the CBC tournament tomorrow as Lyon takes on Midland University at 10 a.m. and No. 2 USAO at 2:00 p.m.
