Box Score LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After dropping the first set of the match, the Lyon College volleyball team found their groove as the Scots cruised to a four-set victory Tuesday night against Philander Smith College (23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-17).
With the victory, Lyon improves to 1-1 on the season, while Philander Smith College falls to 1-2 on the year.
KEY STATISTICS
- Maggee Hobson was dominant all night long for the Scots as she tied the program single-match record with 28 kills in the contest. The senior also added 11 digs in the match.
- Kaitlyn Jackson recorded a team-high 38 assists in the victory.
- Adia Sherbeyn tallied a team-best 19 digs in the non-conference tilt.
- The Scots overpowered the Lady Panthers in kills, 45-22, and assists, 41-21.

Lyon returns to the court Thursday night for their home opener against Bethel University. The matchup between the Scots and Lady Wildcats is set for Mar. 11 at 4:30 p.m. inside Becknell Gymnasium.
