LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After dropping the first set of the match, the Lyon College volleyball team found their groove as the Scots cruised to a four-set victory Tuesday night against Philander Smith College (23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-17).

With the victory, Lyon improves to 1-1 on the season, while Philander Smith College falls to 1-2 on the year.

KEY STATISTICS
- Maggee Hobson was dominant all night long for the Scots as she tied the program single-match record with 28 kills in the contest. The senior also added 11 digs in the match.
- Kaitlyn Jackson recorded a team-high 38 assists in the victory.
- Adia Sherbeyn tallied a team-best 19 digs in the non-conference tilt.
- The Scots overpowered the Lady Panthers in kills, 45-22, and assists, 41-21.

WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE SCOTS
Lyon returns to the court Thursday night for their home opener against Bethel University. The matchup between the Scots and Lady Wildcats is set for Mar. 11 at 4:30 p.m. inside Becknell Gymnasium.
