BATESVILLE, Ark. – Lyon College women's basketball team will travel to Holly Springs, Mississippi to play Rust College for the first time in program history. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.Â
The Scots are coming off of a season opening blowout against Philander Smith College winning by 36 points, 80-44. The match indicated a 9-0 run for the Scots against the Panthers. Senior Jade Giron led the Scots with 14 points, and sophomore Haley Wesley followed with 12.
The Bearcats of Rust College will enter the match with a record of 6-0 to start the season winning their last game 50-43 against Lemoyne-Owen College. Senior Jasmine Coleman led the floor with 13 points playing 25 minutes.
