BATESVILLE, Ark. – The 11
th-ranked Lyon College women's basketball team will take a break between a pair of four-game American Midwest Conference road trips when the Scots come home to host Harris-Stowe and Hannibal-LaGrange this weekend. The Scots will host HSSU on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for their "Coaches vs. Cancer" game before taking on HLG on Saturday at 1 p.m. for "Alumni Day."
** On Thursday, fans will have an opportunity to donate to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers program as a donation jar will be placed at the main entrance gate for those who would like to make a donation.
** On Saturday, all former Arkansas College and Lyon College basketball alums are welcomed back to Becknell Gymnasium on Saturday when Lyon College men and women's basketball teams take on Hannibal-LaGrange in an American Midwest Conference doubleheader for Alumni Day. During halftime of the women's game, the 1974- and 75-women's basketball teams will be recognized.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots capped off their first of two four-game road trips with a 79-65 win at Missouri Baptist this past Saturday. With the win, the Scots improved to 17-2 (13-1 AMC).
Madison Riley and
Liz Henderson led the way in the win against the Spartans. Riley tied her career-high with a game-high 28 points. She also grabbed 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Riley improved her season scoring average to 16.4 points per game, which is fourth in the AMC. Riley ranks fifth in the NAIA in three-point field goal percentage (45.3%). Henderson also finished in double figures as she scored 21 points to go along with eight rebounds. Henderson currently ranks fifth in the NAIA in three-point field goals made (57) and eighth in three-point field goals made per game (3.0).
HSSU: Harris-Stowe enters Thursday night's matchup at 4-13 overall and 3-10 in the AMC. LaDaijha Watson and Surina Finnie are the lone players averaging double figures in scoring this season for HSSU at 10.6 and 10.5 points per game, respectively.
HLG: Hannibal-LaGrange enters the week at 4-15 (2-12 AMC) and will play at Central Baptist College on Thursday night before making the trip to Batesville on Saturday. Emma Anderson is the leading scorer and rebounder for HLG at 9.8 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 16-1 all-time against HSSU after defeating the Hornets, 75-68, on Dec. 5 in St. Louis.
Lyon is 17-0 all-time against HLG after defeating the Trojans, 72-52, on Dec. 7 in Hannibal, Mo.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following Saturday's game against HLG, the Scots will open up another four-game AMC road trip on Thursday at Stephens College. Tip-off for Thursday's game is set for 7 p.m.
