BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College women's basketball team jumped up to No. 10 in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll and will now take to the road for their next four American Midwest Conference games of the season. The Scots will open up the trip on Thursday night at St. Louis College of Pharmacy at 5:30 p.m. Lyon will end the week on Saturday at No. 15 Columbia College at 1 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots enter the week at 14-1 overall and have the best record in the AMC at 10-0. The Scots currently lead the AMC standings by 1.5 games over No. 15 Columbia College. Madison Riley leads the Scots in scoring at 16.4 points per game and is coming off back-to-back 19-point performances. She currently ranks eighth in the NAIA in three-point field goal percentage (45.9%). Liz Henderson is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game. She ranks sixth in the NAIA in three-point field goals made per game (3.1) and seventh in total three-pointers made (47). Katie Turner and Jade Giron are also averaging double figures in scoring at 12.1 and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Kristen Baham currently leads the NAIA in assist/turnover ratio (4.0), while Haley Wesley is fourth in the same category (3.0).
STLCOP: The Eutectics enter Thursday night's game at 5-10 (2-8 AMC). Grace Beyer leads STLCOP in scoring this season at 18.1 points per game. Her scoring average is the second-best in the AMC and ranks ninth in the NAIA. Michon Forrest is the only other player averaging double figures in scoring for STLCOP at 11.6 points per game.
CC: Columbia College enters the week at 12-3 (8-1 AMC) and will host Central Baptist College on Thursday night. Three players average double figures in scoring for CC this season. Raegan Wieser leads the team at 13.3 points per game, followed by Jordan Alford (12.1 PPG) and Mai Nienhueser (10.4 PPG). Alford ranks sixth in the NAIA in defensive rebounds per game (7.3), ninth in total assists (76) and 10th in assists per game (5.1).
SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 10-0 all time against STLCOP, but trail the all-time series against Columbia College, 24-9. The Cougars defeated the Scots, 75-60, on Mar. 1, 2019, in the semifinals of last year's AMC Tournament.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following this weekend's games at STLCOP and CC, the Scots will wrap up their four-game road trip next week at (RV) Lindenwood-Belleville and Missouri Baptist. The Scots will face LUB on Jan. 23 at 5:30 p.m. and conclude the week at MBU on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.
